Giola House

Giola House is a traditional house set in Astris of Thassos, in a quiet area of 8 acres of olive and fruit trees, 300 meters from the sea. It's a house of 50m² that is fully renovated with care and taste. The house can comfortably accommodate 2 families (up to 6 persons).

The Giola Lagoon is located nearby and the closest beach is a rocky beach Kalami. Potos is at the distance of 7km.

Accommodation

There are 2 air-conditioned bedrooms, a bathroom, a brand new and separated kitchen.

One bedroom has a double and a single bed, while the other has one small double bed and a sofa bed. In each room there is a separate air conditioner. The second bedroom can be used as a living room since it has a traditional stone fireplace. The kitchen is in the lobby and it's fully equipped.

Cleaning and change of linen and towels take place every 5th day.

In front of the house there is a large yard, suitable for children' play, fitted with barbecue, outdoor shower and private parking. There is also an organic garden with seasonal vegetables and fruits.

Astris - Thassos

Mediterranean landscape, beautifull spot with excellent climate all year round and olives - some call it Astris, others call it Astrida; but the meaning is the same – the village of the stars. At the entrance to the village is a small picturesque beach, Psili Ammos - the 'Bay of Fine Sand'. For tourists that are seeking solitude, can look for the hidden gem of Giola, located near Astris. A few kilometres south of Astris visitors can find ruins of an ancient city that was uncovered during recent underwater excavations. Some believe that it could very well be the ancient lost city of Atlantis.

The entire area of Astris has many small beaches - some well equipped, others untouched: Agios Vasilios, Bambouris, Amdela, Salonikios, Kalami... A few kilometers away from Astris and in the direction of the Monastery of Archangelos, there are the bays Thimonia and Livadi, which will impress even the most demanding visitor.

The village of Astris, and the whole area are well appointed and has well organised hotel facilities, rooms and tavernas with excellent fresh seafood daily, as the small island across the bay of Kalami, 'Astriotiko' is an ideal fishing ground.
